A year in the life of our Miss Riley

Royal Summons

on December 10, 2014

Riley was quite the royal miss today.  I was in my office, the contractors were in and out (giving Riley her due when she crossed their paths), and my husband was wandering around. Riley took her preferred spot in the den, then, every now and then, she would emit a very commanding bark.

Did she have to go out? Did she need water? Nope. She just felt that one of us peasants should be in the den with her, paying attention to her.

Worship me, peasant.

Worship me, peasant.

(The dignity — or dognity, as one of my friends called it the other day — was a little bit undercut by the fact that she wandered through some poop outside and had a severe case of stinky paw that we didn’t catch right away, but that didn’t stop her in the least.)
