A year in the life of our Miss Riley

Throwback Thursday: Claiming the Couch

on September 18, 2014

We crate-trained Riley, and when she was about 6 months old, she “graduated” to have the run of the laundry room in our first house. One day, I came home from work and she wasn’t in the laundry room. I ran around the house looking for her, and went right past her — black dog on a navy blue couch in a dark living room. From then on, she had the run of the house — and the couch.

I can’t remember exactly when this photo was taken — she was probably around five years old — but it just screams, “This is MY couch! (and my blanket!)”
