A year in the life of our Miss Riley

Faithful Companion

on August 8, 2014

I had a migraine today — it felt like I was literally pinned to the bed at my head. Riley stayed by my bedside the whole day. Tonight, I managed to stagger downstairs for a while, which seemed to reassure her.

You OK, Mom?

I was laid-up similarly a year or so ago. Max the Cat would not leave my side. HIssed at anyone who tried to enter the room. One of the wonders of animals and their enormous hearts. Hope you are feeling better, she will be there when you are not

    Awww, how sweet of Max!

Riley’s always been a sympathetic soul. I remember years ago when I had horrible insomnia after surgery, she would follow me down to the couch — give up her spot on the bed to do so.
